Client Resources

Supplemental Reading

For more information on your pet's illness or diagnosis we refer our clients to Veterinary Partner.

Professional Organizations

The Rhode Island Veterinary Medical Association website has great information about the pet industry in general. You can find information about Animal and Public Health, Rhode Island Shelters and estimated costs for owning a pet.

Obedience Training

We always recommend obedience training for all of our new puppies. Sometimes we may incorporate obedience training into behavioral modification programs for our older patients. We recommend several options including Canine Mastery in Seekonk, MA. We also recommend Bark Busters for in-home training.

Boarding

If you are planning to travel and need a boarding kennel recommendation, please call our office and we can advise you.

If you are planning to travel with your pet we recommend BringFido as a resource for hotels that accommodate pets. The website is beneficial for all things travel related, when bringing along your pet.

Pet Insurance

We recommend pet insurance to all of our clients. We do not recommend any specific insurance company but can direct you to several reputable pet insurance carriers and their websites such as Pawlicy.

Poison Control

In case of emergency toxin ingestion we refer our clients to the ASPCA Poison Control Hotline at (888) 426-4435 or their website.

Please be prepared with a major credit card as there is a $90.00 fee for this service. If your pet has a Home Again Microchip Identification and is registered there is no fee.

Grief Counseling & Support

When you have lost a beloved pet and are feeling emotionally overwhelmed there are support services available. We refer our clients to Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts where you can find many helpful links.
